Cool!

I sort of like this, the Industrial drums are really cool. That hat gets a little annoying at times, especially when nothing else is going on but itself and the percussion, but it's good! The notes sound a little off key to me, but that could just be me, because i am quite hungry at the moment. :P

It sounds pretty good man! 8/10 and 4/5.

Thanks man I appreciate the time it took to review the song.

Thanks man

Okay,,,

It's not bad, but it's a little odd. Let me recommend a few things first:
-Do not use FL Studio presets. I can hear the Dance pack stuff, and thats old, it doesn't sound all that good anymore. Update your percussion library!
-Make sure that if you use preset arps that they sound right with other arps. Some of the arp-gate combo's you used are a little off key and off sync with each other at some times.

The Good:
-I like some of the effects that you used! The sort of high-picthed whistley thing that sounds like a break, it's really good!
-The percussion samples weren't great, however the sequencing on them was good.

So, i do recommend you read my recommendations to fix this song up a bit.

It was good though! 7/10 and 5/5.

IDReaper responds:

Thanks for the pointers! Yeah I need to update xD. No preset arps, but some wierd echo/phasing attached. Need to fix. Thanks for the good review.

Calm House!

I like this one, it's very laid back, but it's a "keepin' it real" song. :P The percussion is good, i don't think the kick is too loud, and everything really fits together nicely. The synths and bass, i have no complaints.

It's very professional sounding! 10/10 and 5/5.

thanks for your feedback :)

Nice!

The heavy part is a little odd, the kick just doesnt sound right to me. Although, when the claps and the pad come in, that sounds a lot better. The lack of a real distinct hat in the beginning also does not take away from the song. I like the clamer part, i like how it still has the side-chaining effect, but keeps that clam feel. The synths you used were top notch!

9/10 and 5/5. I liked it!

-Kaiz

mjattie responds:

thanks kaiz, the kick is for me the hardest part of the song... really

I'm glad you liked it though :)

Wow...

Sorry, i just remembered that you sent me a PM about a song from your new album, which i'm looking forward too, by the way. Now that i've heard a sample, i really want more! This has a really great beat too it, i like the laid back beat and the nice ambient sounding instruments. The whole downtempo-IDM things really has me going, you've opened my eyes to a nice new genre!

Thanks bud, a 10/10 and a 5/5 from me!

-Kaiz

Ah, good ole' MJ.

That was totally awesome! That was the best (and only) 8-Bit MJ tribute i've ever heard. It was perfectly done, and i love 8-Bit sounds. :D

10/10 and 5/5!

Honestly...

Im not a big fan of speedcore. Once it goes over about 180BPM or so, i dont usually tend to like the song. But this has certainly opened my eyes to a new style of trance music. If the percussion was a bit louder, i could totally see this being played at a rave party or something! I like the many gates i heard being used, they added a nice effect to the song, and especially added to the speeccore value of the song. The percussion, i had no problem with. It had a great... well, flow to it i guess. It coupled nicely with the rest of the song, and although everything else really overpowered it, i still enjoyed the song.

Nice work here bud, and congrats on the top 5! 10/10 and 5/5.

georgem124 responds:

yer i was a big fan of trance recently so i invented my own genre. i tried to get a perfect cross between DnB and trance. this is what i got.

i think its intense rofl.

Reminds me...

I've been playing the game "Prototype" recently, and this reminds me of the theme thats played when you enter a military base unoticed. I like the entire song, really, it has a great atmosphere and a nice ambient and classical feel. The percussion really works well for this song, it brings out a nice electronic, but still ambient feel. I have absolutly no complaintys about this song, it has a good length and keeps me entertained for the entire song.

Nice work, as usual! 10/10, 5/5, favorite!

popraz responds:

Initially I had really started this song as purely percussion based, but later started overlaying a sense of melody. Thank you very much.

Wow...

This is actually very nice! It captures the complete dread that some people have of 2012. I understand the scientific facts of 2012, but i do not believe in all the 'god will kill us all in vengeance' thing. Anyway, not to start a religious conflict here, song review...

I like the entire classical aspect of the song, with a few ambient parts mixed in. Classical is a normal ambient sound, and this song captures the entire article very nicely. The lack of a prominent percussion also adds to the song.

The beginning: nice and quietly ambient. Nothing is really wrong, but things are changed. As the song progresses, bad things begin to happen. The dissonant (?) choir that comes in is really moving. Ambient choirs are what i usually associate with world endings or really big explosions or disasters. The strings come in, and it sounds like a desperate attempt to stay alive, but it does not work. The overall performance of this song on a person such as me is very invigorating, if that is the right word.

This was a really excellent piece bud! I figured i would return the favor and review one of your songs, and it turns out you entered the contest as well. Good luck to you as well!

10/10 and 5/5, and i have to favorite it. :D

popraz responds:

Thank you very much for the awesome review ! I greatly appreciate it ! And again, good luck at the contest.

Hey cool. :D

That is really epic sounding! I like the classical mix in to the song, as well as the voice acting. ForNoReason sounds like one of those guys who reads those closing statements at a funeral or something. And the rest of the song really sounds like a funeral dirge or something...

This was very well done! 10/10 and 5/5!

[ If you wouldnt mind checking out my entry for the contest :) ]

FairSquare responds:

Haha, yeah, ForNoReason has the perfect voice for this :P
Thanks for the review and ofcourse, i'll check yours out too ;-)
